The Northeast Florida Builders Association reported building permits were down slightly in June. There were 477 permits issued in Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties in June, compared with 544 in May and 606 in April. But even with the drop it was still the busiest June since 2008.
In the first six months of the year a total of 3,024 permits have been issued, the most since 2008 when 3,308 were issued.
Hopefully this is a sign we are continuing to recover.
