Anyone who has rented a hotel room in a major city in the last
few years knows that the cost of a stay has done nothing but rise. That means
some travelers are being priced out of a city hotel stay. Enter Hilton with a new low-cost, micro-hotel
room in a product called Motto.
Really, Motto translates to small. The rooms are less than 180 square feet, or
approximately 15 feet x 15 feet or some similar configuration, and are supposedly
designed for the cost-conscious millennial.
A 100-room Motto will break ground in the Marylebone
neighborhood of London in January, according to biznow.com. Others are slated for Dublin, Ireland,
Washington, D.C., Savannah, San Diego, Boston and Lima, Peru.
