NE Florida Road Projects Help JAXPORT

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will spend $1 billion dollars in road improvement projects in North East Florida over the next five years. These improvements will enhance the Port of Jacksonville's transportation connections and infrastructure helping make Jacksonville an attractive and competitive port location.
Currently a $23 million ramp project is under construction at the I-295 and Heckscher Drive interchange. When complete it will improve traffic flow to JAXPORT's Dames Point and Blount Island terminals.
The overall plan also includes many smaller projects, such as resurfacing existing roadways, all with an eye to improving our ports ability to compete in tomorrow's transportation and logistics economy.
