Mellow Mushroom in Avondale

Mellow Mushroom is set to Open in Avondale on Monday the 10th of February.  The battle between those who wanted the low key high quality pizza joint and those who felt it was going to bring to much traffic and negative activity to the already semi congested area.  Mellow Mushroom owners The Valentino brothers are proven operators with Three successful locations in the Greater Jacksonville MSA.  The original Jax location at Tinseltown has been a staple and carried the strip center that it anchors on the North end, the Jacksonville Beach location at Seawalk Village with a little help from Salt Life Food Shack has revitalized the Mid Jacksonville Beach retail areas giving life to two Shopping Centers that has been old and tired before the addition of Mellow Mushroom.  I see no reason why the Avondale location that replaces what was a very successful "Town".  The area has never needed help but I think the addition of quality operators providing great food and a viable place to grab a quick bite will make the area even better.
