A joint venture composed of Chicago-based GEM Realty Capital and IP Capital Partners out of Boca Raton, FL closed on the Aetna Building at 841 Prudential Dr. in Jacksonville, FL for $55.5 million, or about $108 per square foot.
Formerly known as the Prudential Building, the Aetna Building was constructed by KBJ Architects in 1955 in Jacksonville's Downtown Southbank area. The 515,000-square-foot, 22-story trophy tower has the designation of at one time being the tallest building in Jacksonville, later being surpassed by the Riverplace Tower. Source: CoStar
