Atlantic Blvd the Next Town Center

Toney Sleiman has big plans for the retail market on the Southside.  He owns three of the four corners of the Intersection at Atlantic Blvd and Kernan Blvd.  His holdings stretch for significant distances on Atlantic to the West.  His vision includes a destination shopping and entertainment model like that of St John's Town Center.  The property will also have a residential component.  Preliminary plans include some prominent retailers that if secured could make the vision a reality.  The downside to this new development is that it most likely will put the final nail in the coffin of the Regency Square Mall.  The upside is fresh new consumer driven retail that will help continue Jacksonville's ascension into a city that attracts new business and the young talent that comes with it.  See the article from Jax Daily Record for More
