Roger Bull reports in todays Florida Times-Union that 352 single home building permits were pulled in December, according to the Northeast Florida Builders Association. That would make December 2012 the busiest December for home starts since 2007.
A total of 4,257 building permits for single family residences were issued in 2012. While that's far from the peak number of 17,753 issued in 2007, it's a step in the right direction and cause for optimism that the economy is slowly recovering.
