Apartment Vacancies on Decline Despite numerous starts
Jacksonville still remains unique and an anomaly. The rental rates for apartments are increasing and the demand for them continues to rise. There are numerous starts with 2,000+ new apartments on the way. The unique situation creates a goldmine for apartment developers and investors. Typically as rates rise and new product comes to market the demand begins to wain and the rates drop. It hasn't happened here and does not appear to be on the horizon.
