Reading Jim Collins article "Be Great Now" in the INC magazine from June 2012 can offer great uplifiting energy for anyone in Commercial Real Estate these days. The uncertainty of our times, in so many respects, can distract our attention from our goals. Having a clear goal and a well defined plan of action to accomplished the goals is key to success.
The summary of Mr. Collins is fascinating to me and I see it as a great ally in fighting doubt or dispair when things are not going the way we hope.
MAKE A CHOICE, GO WHERE YOU WANT TO GO, MAKE DECISIONS, BE THE BEST AT WHAT YOU CHOOSE, PERFORMANCE, INITIATIVE, VALUES,HAVE A BIG HAIRY AUDACIOUS GOAL, PROTECTION, DISCIPLINE, NETWORKING, MARKETING, PPRR, AND MOST IMPORTANT PERSONAL HUMILITY COMBINED WITH PROFESSIONAL WILL. Are you there yet?
The projects we face everyday are a journey and also a destination. Think about the words, they all mean something and can change your outcome as you become one with them.
