Christmas Trees for $7.00

From the Florida Forestry Assn. news letter comes a notice of the Ocala National Forest offering the privilege of cutting a sand pine tree between Nov. 23 and Dec. 24 for a fee of $7.00.  In years past when I owned forest land, I searched for shapely sand pines and was always happy with the appearance and durability of one.

Looking for some where you can cut down your own Christmas tree to decorate this year?
Ocala National Forest is offering permits for harvesting a sand pine Christmas tree between Nov. 23 and Dec. 24.
It costs $7 and the forest service has designated areas for permit holders to choose a tree from.
To get a permit by mail, send a check or money order made out to USDA Forest Service to:
