Landy's Aquires Morton's The Steakhouse

Landry's Restaurant Group has successfully taken over Morton's The Steakhouse. They have acquired approximately 90% of the stock and are shaking things up. The shake up hit close to home as they shuttered the doors to the Southbank Morton's location on Wednesday with no notice to customers or staff. Landry's also owns the Chart House across the street on the river and will honor gift cards and the such at this and any other Landry's affiliate with the exception of McCormick & Schmick’s. I have to say if they were going to close one of the two in town they picked the wrong one. The Chart house has great views of the river but the food and dining experience aren't quite as nice as Morton's. Gonna Miss the place.
