real estate practitioner, has joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Benchmark as a Principal with primary operational responsibility of enhancing and mentoring Benchmark sales professionals specializing in Office and Industrial Sales and Leasing.

Career Highlights
Beginning his career in commercial real estate in 1988, Monte Merritt completed lease and sale transactions for such companies as Ford Motor Company, Yellow Freight Services, Jacksonville Electric Authority, Reynolds Metal and Whirlpool Corp. Thereafter, he became a principal in Freeland Real Estate Services, later purchased by Lincoln Property Services. As Director of Industrial Services, he completed transactions with State Farm Insurance, Jacksonville Warehouse Company, and Southern Pre-Stressed Company.
In 1998, after the St. Joe Company formed GVA Advantis, he completed transactions with such companies as Chase Manhattan Mortgage, IBM Global Services and Continental Assurance.
Mr. Merritt is one of North Florida's leading commercial real estate professionals, who in 1998 alone completed over fifty-seven transactions, accounting for over 600,000 square feet. Since 1998, Mr. Merritt has completed more than 4,000,000 square feet of transactions. As a commercial real estate professional, he is focused on leasing and marketing services for both Landlord and Tenant representation.
