Jacksonville Apartment Sales Still Strong

   Sales of existing apartment complexes in Jacksonville still seem to be going strong, especially among out of town buyers. The Times Union reported recently that Behringer Harvard of Addison, Texas paid $35.5 million for the 322 unit Wimberly Apartments at Deerwood located at 9727 Touchton Road. The complex consists of 24 acres and is approximately 90% occupied.
   The Wickshire Apartment complex located at 1570 lane Avenue recently sold for $2.6 million to Princeton Enterprises of Bloomfield Hills Michigan. The apartments were built in 1974 and sold for $6 million as recently as 2007.
   The apartments at 2078 Hyde park Road sold for $840,000 to Promotora Immobiliaria based in Miami. The apartments sold for $1.1 million in 2003.
